Goodfellas Storage has acquired the self storage facility at 2718 Akron Road, Wooster, OH 44691. It is our first facility in the state of Ohio, and we are putting real money into the property before we rent a single unit.

Why Wooster
Wooster is the county seat of Wayne County and the commercial hub for a wide stretch of northeast Ohio — a mix of longtime residents, students, farm operations, contractors, and small businesses. That's a market where storage isn't a luxury; it's overflow space for a garage, a jobsite, a seasonal business, or a move that didn't line up cleanly.
We bought this property because we saw a facility with good bones and a location worth investing in. So that's what we're doing.
What We're Fixing — All of It, Before We Open
We're not opening the doors and fixing things later. Here's the work in progress:
Brand New Doors
Every unit is getting a new roll-up door. Old storage doors stick, bind, rust at the track, and eventually stop sealing against weather. New doors mean your unit opens easily, closes fully, and keeps water and pests where they belong — outside.
Gate Upgrade
The access gate is being upgraded so entry is controlled and reliable. A gate that actually works is the difference between a secured facility and a parking lot with fencing around it.
Brand New 24/7 Video Surveillance System
We're installing a completely new video surveillance system covering the property around the clock. Cameras are recording 24/7, every day of the year.
Grading and Gravel Upgrades
Drive aisles are being regraded and re-graveled. This solves the problem most people don't think about until it's a problem: standing water, ruts, and soft ground that make it miserable to back a trailer in or unload a truck in March.
Additional Building Repairs
Roofing, framing, and general structural repairs across the buildings are part of the same scope. Anything that affects whether your belongings stay dry and secure gets addressed now.

Renovation work is underway. As units are completed and released, we'll open them for rent in phases.
